Hey guys I need your help ASAP
I decided to take AP Chem. My school started 3 weeks ago. Chem is somewhat interesting to me, and I am not planning to do anything with Chemistry for the rest of my life. The only reason I am taking it is for the AP weight and I think colleges either want to see AP Chem/Bio? Idk. Anyway, AP Chem is somewhat interesting but I don't really want to take the class. Some stuff is interesting but everything else is just a drag. I'm thinking about switching to AP Psych because I personally think its more interesting, but I don't want to seem like a cop out when I apply to college. What should I do?

It’s a bit of a dilemma. AP Chem is a stronger course of study than AP Psych. Have you already had regular chem? If not stick with the AP. Psych is an elective so it wouldn’t be strong to replace a core class with an elective. But if you already had chem, then I suppose it’s up to your preference to take something you are interested in. Can you really join after 3 weeks of class? I’d make the call depending on how selective the schools are that you are going to apply to. No matter your major, the competitive schools want to see physics/chem/bio first before electives.

I did take chem honors
I guess I’ll stick with Chem :)
