For Consulting: NYU Stern vs Georgetown MBS

Guys and gals,

I have a tough decision ahead of me and I want to pick your brains for some advice going into it. I have been accepted as a junior transfer to Stern and MSB and I am now in the process of deciding between the two. Keep in mind I am 99.9% sure I am applying to consulting firms and NOT investment banks.

I'm also worried that I'll lose the network of faculty and staff that I know very well here at GWU and that have in the past recommended me personally to get some prestigious internships if I transfer. For this reason I'm leaning towards Georgetown, because it might be easier to stay in touch with this GW/DC network if I'm in the same city.

Basically, I really have a goal in mind 5 years down the line and consulting is the dream job that will help get me there. That's why I ask you to help me make a decision I won't regret come interview time.

Georgetown would be my pick. NYU is known for its amazing IB recruitment and poor Consulting presence.

i'd also go to georgetown to land a job in consulting rather than stern.
