I do think I'm more than average...
I can draw almost like a profesional '_';;
but never actually had a paying- job as a cartoonist.</p>

<p>That sounds cool. Maybe try to do something regarding it. If you're applying for art, add in a cartoon maybe? A friend of mine who loves art (but isn't majoring in it) actually sent her portfolio to her top college (and got in.) </p>

<p>I really like to draw, so I put it as an EC in my application. I also explained my passion for it usually in the supplemental essays, unless they asked for "Why do you want to come here" kind of essay. I didn't send a sample, but my essay conveyed how important and personal it was to draw.</p>

<p>Sounds good. Just start looking around for your best pieces/working on them this summer. Maybe talk to an adult that's familiar with art when choosing pieces? :)</p>

I'm going to Korea, my home country, this summer so I was going to get
my art checked.... but ...........</p>
<p>It costs $3000 for 1 month!! our family can't afford that much money....

<p>i think its a great EC, plus really unique.
put together a portfolio of your work, and send it along to colleges with your application as supplementary material.
you don't need to have a job doing it, its more important that you're passionate and committed to it. but having a job can't hurt you:)</p>
