For international business: HBS/Wharton/etc or USC's Moore?

So I've been doing international business stuff for a while and I'd like to keep doing so. I imagine myself going back to get an MBA at some point and between merit, stats, and nepotism I should have a reasonable shot at HBS and Wharton.

But theoretically the otherwise 'never-heard-of-it' Moore school of business at the U of South Carolina is supposed to be #1 for international business.

Why is this? And would it be a good idea to go there instead of returning to Penn or catapulting into Harvard, or would I be out of my mind to do that?

If you are really interested in a career internationally, its hard to beat the Wharton-INSEAD alliance:

HBS and Wharton will do just fine, if you can get it.

INSEAD by itself is also good, esp. if you are concerned about cost-benefit. It's only one year.

I think that Oxford, while technically a second-tier MBA, would help as well. The overall brand-name of the university (and the network) is just too strong.

Don't pay much attention to magazine or website rankings; magazines need to sell, well, more magazines. Websites have a lot of misinformed people ... and kids.

Another one to consider, although you may discount it because of its perceived lack of prestige, is Thunderbird. They have a very strong international program that is well recognized in the international business world.
