For NY residents, I need your advice.

Alright, for most the NY residents here, the Math B curriculum consists of Math B 1, 2, and 3. As of now, I'm a sophomore in Math B2. I'm pretty good at math, which is why I've shown an interest in being in pre-calculus junior year. However, the only way this would be possible is if I were to take Math B3/Math B Regents (basically trigonometry), in summer school... a 1 month and a half course which runs for 1 hr 30 min each day. From many who've passed the Math B Regents, they tell me that Math B3 is the hardest of them all. Do you think I would be able to understand the curriculum of a semester Math B3 in such a short time?

Up.................

why stress yourself out with that. enjoy life. i mean, if you have an interest in math - such that you want to take this course, go for it. but if you're only doing it for college, forget it. colleges dont care what course of math you are in, just that you do well in it (and that its not the easiest course offered)

Regents are a joke. I got a 100 on the Math A regents, and I plan to get 100 on the Math B regents as well. Math B3 is basically trig plus review of old material. If you're good in math, I'd suggest you chill out and study something more important like the SATs/APs.

I don't know what Math B3 is, but the Math B regents were easy. Don't worry yourself over it too much. I don't think colleges care about your regents grade anyways.

Colleges probably dont really care about regents grades, but they do see them and WILL see any you screw up

That said, regents are cake - I say go for it

no college outside NY cares about these...we should just get rid of them because every school in NY arranges their math courses different anyway. They are such a waste of time and they cause so many problems.

Yes, granted, they are easy (to many), they are a pain in the a** and the same goal can be accomplished through other means.

As for your question, i think u should def try to take calc be4 u graduate and go to college...do wutever u need to do to do that.
