Hi. I am just started sophomore year at LaGuardia in NYC. I took the Algebra Regents and I received mastery. I also took the class and got an 88. Not pleased with that, but what can I do? Anyway, I took geometry over the summer, but I don't think I gave myself enough time to study. I passed, but barely (68). I can't take trigonometry this year :(

Anyway, I still want to get ahead and take more advanced classes. I can't advance in my science class, because I would also need the labs. I can't go forward in French 3, because while I do well in class, it's hard to self study an entire year of language. I really want to get ahead in math, but it didn't work so well with geometry. I want to try and self study trig, but it was so stressful with geometry. At the same time, I want to apply to top universities, and I would hate to leave high school without even doing Calculus!

What should I do? Is there a way I can go further? Will colleges look down on me for not being in advanced math classes? I know I sound like a typical overachieving CC-er, but I'm worried...
