<p>If you can take more than 5 classes then I would say you should take advantage of that because colleges like to see you continuing to challenge yourself. Most people are registered for at least 6 and sometimes 7 classes. However, I don’t think it will hurt you too much if none of your classes are joke classes.</p>

<p>I know a lot of people who only took 5 classes senior year who got into Ivy & other top schools but the classes they took were some of the more difficult AP classes offered at my school (like physics c, calc bc). So I guess the lesson was quality, not quantity?</p>
