Less APs in senior year?

Hi, I'm an international student and I'm a rising senior. I currently take 4 APs, and I need to decide on my next year schedule – but I only have space for 3 APs next year. Would it look bad in my college app if I have less APs in my senior year?

No, at the end of your senior year you will have 7 AP classes. It’s pretty good. There are more than just AP classes concerned in college admission process. Good luck!!

Thanks rezamp! I actually took one AP in my soph. year so that would make 8 APs haha. But I’m just scared that colleges might think that I’m trying to take it easy in my senior year…I heard that they look at how rigorous your senior courses are =(

I think if you take 4 now and will take 3 next year, it won’t reflect poorly on you. I took 5 last year and am taking 3 (and one half semester AP) while maintaining a relatively challenging course schedule. It is definitely not as rigorous as it was my Junior year. I got accepted to a lot of great schools, Harvard and Yale included. Good luck to you! Don’t stress out too much, enjoy senior year and work hard on your applications!
