If I want to break my post into paragraphs and I hit enter twice I end up with a massive gap. Like so:
My only other option is to leave no gap at all, like between this sentence and the last. Why was this changed? Can it be changed back?
Thanks.

Weird. When I previewed this there was no gap between the second and third paragraphs, but now the strange and unknowable being that is the college confidential post formatter decided to leave a regular sized gap there. Perhaps it was because it somehow knew how much I missed it.
Yet between the third and fourth paragraph there was no gap, as I was expecting.
What on earth is going on???
Edit: This post did it too, I am so confused. When I wrote it there was no difference between formatting between any of these paragraphs, but it ended up being displayed with different gaps. The discrepancy between preview and actual posts is alarming, and the general inconsistency makes formatting posts really hard.
That looks like a normal double space to me.
Not sure what the issue is here. I was able to easily remove the extra space as there was no weird formatting.
Yes, the spacing can be weird.
This (one newline between each line):
Line 1
Line 2
Line 3
Line 4
renders as:
Line 1
Line 2
Line 3
Line 4
This (two newlines between each line):
Line 1
Line 2
Line 3
Line 4
renders as (note the unequal spacing):
Line 1
Line 2
Line 3
Line 4
HydeSnark - its been bugging me too! a space between paragraphs shows up as a double space.
Like on this post, It shows onscreen as just one line space, but when posting, it’s two! How did you get your post #2 t show up with just one space between lines?
Bugging me too, but I’ve noticed the double space shows up in Firefox, while Chrome shows the normal single line space when looking at the same post, so I assumed it was browser related since no one else mentioned it (until now). In this thread, post #1 looks normal with one line paragraph space in Firefox, but it all runs together in Chrome with no line spaces.
