There is a lot of speculation that the rejections were sent out at the same time, but won't be received as quickly because they were not sent as "priority." This has caused quite some worrying. Can anybody who thinks they have a really strong chance at being admitted post stats in this thread? If everybody who hasn't heard has relatively low stats compared to the admits, then that will strengthen the theory of rejections coming a day or two late.

Me:
2180 SAT
4.0 UW
top 11% of HS class (could warrant a rejection)
Weak USC essay, strong commonapp essays.
Strong counselor rec
VERY strong EC's

What are your stats? That’s the point of this thread. Everybody who hasn’t heard should post a concise version of their stats so we get an idea.

Thanks a lot jsmooth. You seem really solid and a perfect match for USC.
Can we get some more people to post up stats please?
ONLY IF YOU HAVE NOT HEARD

(not really a strong candidate, but one that has not heard yet)

Pasadena (CA) area [many kids have received both acceptance and rejection letters]

lots of people have gotten decisions. I was able to log into Admissions RSVP last night and saw the “Congratulations on your admission to USC” so I’m hoping that I got in.

2110 SAT
3.9 UW GPA
class rank is not good at all because our school doesn’t weight our GPAs so it totally messes the whole thing up

7 time state ensemble medalist for piano amongst other more minor awards
varsity dance team captain (3 years)
tennis team
yearbook copy editor
co-president and founder of Do Something Club at my school
other volunteering stuff
strong annenberg and why USC essay, my commonapp essay was OK but i’m not too fond of it.

the problem is, last night when the loophole was discovered, i tried logging on to the RSVP Admission Events page and could not, which seems to be a sign of rejection…so I’m super worried!!!

You all really need to relax and get your mind off of this. All this speculation won’t do anything but make you more anxious and nervous than you need to be. Your decisions will all come soon. Good luck all! I’m waiting too…

@limi- What state are you in? You have friends in your area who have heard already? It sounds to me like you are in, so if you haven’t received any mail, you will give hope to the rest of us who haven’t either.

I’m in Norcal. My mail has a notorious reputation of coming late…haven’t received my CMU (waitlist) letter yet, and my NMF notice came about a good two days late. lol

I may not have stats to prove, but trust me. Students from my school have already recieved a load of rejections (in LA County), some got acceptances too, and I haven’t recieved any notice. If I had any specific indication of rejection, it woulda well been recieved with the others. It appears both were sent relatively simualtaneously, so I wouldn’t take it as good or bad, just a neutral still hopefull situation.

Alright, thanks a lot collegecondor. I need some hope. I guess, in a way, a rejection isn’t that big of a deal. It would make my decision much easier. If accepted though, there will be an awful lot of deliberating between Emory and USC. They are both such fantastic schools! I’d love to be able to compare them side by side.
