For those of you Asians who have just been admitted to Stanford, have you recently gotten a letter from Stanford about being part of the Asian American community. It's funny because in my typed letter, at the end of the page, the Admission Counselor personally wrote something--he commented on my essay which had to do with the letter to a future roommate. I wonder if this happened to anyone else?

I think this may be on most acceptance letters.

yup, i got this. he wrote a comment about my main essay, which was rather nice.

Huh. I feel unwanted, despite getting an early approval letter.

(>'')>

It's not on the EA letter, it's on the letter from your admissions counselor. I don't know about Regular Admits, but it wasn't in the original SCEA packet, it came later along with other stuff from Stanford.

^^ I think chronicidal is talking about a likely letter, not SCEA.

yeah, I got mine today. I wrote a very poignant long essay and he wrote a very nice comment about it at the end. For some reason, this trumped everything harvard has sent me, since the comment at the end of the harvard letter seemed so generic for everyone

I had heard of these prior to getting one, but I only got a really short comment. It didn't make me feel as good as I thought it would. I guess not all of the comments can be winners.

haha i guess he had nothing to say about my essays. he actually commented on one of my teacher recommendations...
