The dress I want is upwards of $200, so I probably won’t get it. But assuming I do…

Dress: $289.00
–I already have shoes, will do my own hair, no make-up
Dinner: ~$40.00
Transportation costs of getting my boyfriend from college for prom: $130.36
Hotel in town for the night because it takes that long to get there: $109.00
Flowers for my most wonderful date: $10.00
Tickets: free for me! And ~$10.00 for him

Grand total: $578.36

My parents are paying for most of it. My dress will probably be less than $200, though, so the cost will go down.

Because we have to drive down to get him… he doesn’t have a car on campus, and his college town lacks good transport out of it (for example, it takes seventeen hours for the Greyhound to do what would be, for us, a six hour trip). He might be willing to chip in for gas… I hope so.

But yeah, that is really pricey, so I’m trying to find a way to cut costs.

The first thing to go will be my costly dress… Oh well. Back to Google for prom dresses under $200!

hmm well on Ebay, they have really nice prom dress for under 150 dollars…and most retails for over $200. There brand new too…there are some used ones but they cost much cheaper.

i think our prom is like 70 bucks?
i dont have a dress yet, itll probs be between 100-400? (maybe less if i can find something nice and vintage)
my hair is too short to do anything with and i am a make up pro.

i might not go at all, instead ill spend the night at the hotel chelsea with some people, which could be 50$? (depending on the number of people)
