Just wondering

including dress, hair, nails, tux, boutinere/corsage, limo, everything lol

2000 (10char)

jk, lol

but im a boy so i dunno. plus i didnt go to prom but if i did, it would prolly be around 160? dunno

Yeah, $150-200 here. Male.

Probably around 150-200 too. (Girl)

Probably 200-350 here.
around 60 for ticket
30-100 shoes
0 dress (got mine for free, but might be more if I see something else I like…)
60-100 photos
30 hair accessories/jewelry
20-40 bag
possible 100 for car rental (which I’m thinking of not doing-too expensive… but I can legally drive for my group…)

My group was going to get a limo, but we decided that it wasn’t really worth it, so I’m looking into professional picture studios so that we can keep the memory.

P.S. Female if you can’t tell by how much I’m spending ^_^;

Wow! Your proms are cheap! Maybe mine’s just a lot bc I live in an expensive area of the country…
Dress: 150 (it was really 300 but we sold my jr prom dress and a bcbg dress from an awards dinner on ebay and got 150 altogether, so it cut the price in half =] )
Shoes: the ones I want are 100
Hair/Makeup: 50-75?
Nails: 25
Purse: 20-30?
Tickets: 120 each x 2 = 240 (I’m paying for my date bc he doesn’t go to my school anymore) and pictures are included…you can order more but I prob won’t
Limo: 125 each x 2=250 (again, I’m paying for both of us…its a brand new black 26 person hummer split between 20 people for 10 hours)
Total: $765
and prob more after dress alterations, whether or not I get tips (fake nails for the guys reading this haha), and any other last minute expense. I don’t have to pay for a boutinere or anything since my mom has a flower shop, I get all of that stuff for free =]

Ticket + dinner: 62
Dress: 40 (70% odd FTW)
Clutch: 30
Make up + hair + nails: 80
Shoes: 15
Boutonniere: 15

so… 240+?

Dress: $200 (I know, I know)
Clutch: $300 (I actually bought it in October. It was on sale from $989!)
Shoes: $0
Hair & Eyebrows: $70 or something
Nails (Hands and feet): $90 ish
Ticket: $35
Thong Underwear (No panty lines!): $8

Of course, I didn’t buy anything. Well, I bought the purse, but that wasn’t 100% for prom. My mother made me pay $50 for the dress. But all the money I have is allowance from my father anyway. Lulz!

So broke…and this is killing me. XP

Ticket: $105
Tux: $100-ish
Corsage: $40

Thankfully, dinner is included in the ticket, but my family isn’t so great in the money department…I have to resort to ebay. XD Glad I’m not a girl or I may be screwed. ^^

Oh, I wanna do a breakdown of this too.

Ticket: 0 (Date is paying)
Dress: 90$
Shoes: 0
Clutch: 0-15 (I hate these things, with a passion. And plan on never having one again)f
Hair and Makeup: $35
Nails: $5
Tanning: 0 (I knew those 10 sessions last year would come in handy eventually…too bad I paid $200 for them )
Pre-prom Prep: $20 (deep conditioner, tanning oil, nail strengthener etc)
Boutonniere: $15

Total: $165-$180, who says girls can’t be frugal :-)

Ok I was going to go to prom until I realized how much it would cost…

Ticket: 90
Dress: 100-150?
Shoes: ~50
Hair: 30
Makeup: 15
Eyebrows: 30
Nails: 10
Clutch: 30
Limo: 40
Pre-prom contribution: 30
Afterprom party contribution: 20
Afterprom trip to Hamptons: 150
Afterparty after party: 10

$605?? No, thanks. I’d rather go to an array of concerts in the summer ;)

JESUS CHRISTTT. What brand is it? Link, if possible?

I would estimate about $100 for me since my mom will be paying for the prom tickets.

Go to Youtube, search for “Prom Scarred Me” and click the first video that comes up. It’s a pretty useful video, actually.

Ticket: 0 (Free for Seniors)
Dress: $60 (I bought it at a women’s consignment shop)
Shoes: 0 (I already own some)
Hair and Makeup: $0 [my hair is naturally badass]
Nails: $0 (I have my own nail polish)
Tanning: 0 (I’ve never understood why people tan for prom)
Boutonniere: $0 (solo > date)

TOTAL: $60.

Prom is all about dancing with your friends for hours, not standing around talking, being awkward or just not doing anything while thinking that dancing could ruin your hair, make-up and dress.

Prom tickets ($30 x2) = $60
Rental tuxedo = $100
Everything else = free or priceless

$160 yeahhhhhhh

Seriously… I don’t understand how anyone spends over $300. You’re going to a social event; you aren’t winning an Oscar.

^ Yeah it’s senseless… hell I feel like I’m wasting my money by paying $160, but that $160 is completely necessary in fact.

I paid for my ticket. I paid for my date’s ticket. I don’t have a tuxedo, and I’d look ****ty if I didn’t wear one, so I rented one at the cheapest tailor/tux rental place I could find in my area.

And my tuxedo rental came with shoes too!
I lol at girls spending so much on makeup and shoes and hair and manicures and stupid **** that is only noticed initially… the makeup will be worthless for those kids who throw up after coming drunk to prom bahahaha

sarmango, at least you have the option of the hamptons haha my school is making us do grad rehersal the next day at 11 am or we deff would…are you on li?

Absolutely agreed Steven. I feel like spending $60 this year is a lot. But I wanted a halfway decent dress this year.
