For those of you that are 4.0 students...

Didn’t Harvard discontinue transfers until 2010?

Ha, more like planning ahead = less pain.

That’s exactly correct.

Upon graduation from undergrad I plan to work for 2-3 years in I-Banking and go back to school for my MBA. Plans could change, and most likely will.

Finky are you sure? Im thinking about going after grad school.

Finky, you are correct.

There decision was based upon the fact that there was not enough campus housing for students. Harvard requires students to live ON campus.

I know.. I got the letter.. .I applied. lol

It’s just odd how they announced that just days after applications were due. I still haven’t seen my $60.00. I guess that’s part of the reason for such a large endowment.

Kal7, I did not know you weren’t majoring in business, what is your major?

Russkiy_Bear, wouldn’t you like to finish school quick and finish strong?(Even though Haas is very strong)

Finky, That’s odd. Do you know any websites where I can get more information on topics such as that?

AND, For those who go to UCLA then grad school, isn’t UCLA just for Medical school? Because I don’t know much but I feel that UCLA wouldn’t have a good business school if any.

Yeah there are enough business majors out there with no real interest in the field. Personally I looked up the hours in I-Banking and ran, with all due respect to Ruskiy_Bear.

Political Science, then law school and public policy.

Websites? I would guess the Harvard undergrad site would be a start. It is odd, but no worries. I’m in to UCLA and that’s been my #1 choice since I was a kid. I’m happy.

harvard business - im a girl, not a guy

UCLA’s Anderson school of business is a top notch program actually. It’s rated 11 in Business Grad Schools by US News, and beats out Yale, Duke, Cornell, and Carnegie Mellon.

As for admittance to Ivies as transfers, I believe they factor in the college you transfer from and as most of us are from CCCs, even with a 4.0 we don’t stand much a chance compared to Ivy and other top college transfers with 4.0s.

OP:

i <3 <3 <3 california too much, that’s why.

Don’t forget that although UCs give priority to CCC students top notch schools do take into consideration the prestige of the schools your are applying from so CCC students are at a disadvantage there.

I didn’t apply because I never took the SATs, not even in high school.

Law schools use an algorithm to adjust for weight according to each school; you can’t get into top law schools with a 4.0 from Chico.

PooperScooper, what is Chico?

Chico State (CSU, Chico.) It’s just an example of a “lower rate” school.

Got it, thanks.

I want to be part of the 4.0 club! Does a 3.9 count?

Thanks everyone you guys are really helpful.
