Hey everyone,

I have a question for those of you who transferred to UNC for your junior year.

When you transferred, how far were you in your math sequence?

I'm a little worried because by the end of this coming year at community college, I will only be done up to pre calculus. Meaning I will only be starting calculus at UNC (if I'm admitted). Am I behind, or should I be fine?

Thanks!

I’m not a transfer, but there’s not a set math sequence that you have to fulfill at UNC. If your credit for the precalc course transfers, that will fulfill your math requirement. You only need one ‘quantitative reasoning’ course, and the precalc at UNC, math 130, fulfills that requirement. As long as your major does not require any further math classes, you’re fine.

My major is business/econ, and I plan to apply to Kenan-Flagler after I do 1 semester in the liberal arts program (UNC requirement). Will I have to have higher math classes completed before I apply to Kenan-Flager?

Hey don sorry if my message didn’t go through but here’s a few links of some stuff you might want to look at.

This might not have your school but maybe you can use this to look up transfer equivalents:
https://www.unc.edu/sis/adm/xfereq.html

Here are the pre-business application requirements:

This seems like its more geared to direct transfers but might want to take a look at this:

Hey bro

Thanks for sharing those links! I’ll have a look at them.

I did get your message, just didn’t get a chance to reply yet. Sorry about that.
