For those still waiting...

Hey fellow waitlistees,
In the meantime, where did you guys enroll? I'm going to UCLA (for now...)

Im going to Duke

Harvard...

Those are still wonderful schools!

Swarthmore

I second ilabcurious, those are all fantastic schools. You win either way :p

zante... nice to see you around!

yeah...after visiting harvard im not sure I even want to stay on the wait list...funny how the decision making never ends!

Dartmouth!

Brown......

U.Va. (echols)...

wow, those are very good schools. Now, if princeton accepts you, are you going to turn down those schools for princeton?

(Just wondering, since, well, you know, every extra person that turns down princeton is another chance for someone like me :-))

I would in a heartbeat.

my waitlisted friend enrolled at Duke.

I'm going to Brown.

Hmmmmm. Swarthmore.

But I'm still pursuing Princeton. By tonight I have to decide if I want to add the phrase "I will attend in the fall if accepted" or some version of it. It could really boost my chances, but I'm not too sure if I want to do that.

So, what do you think? Is it pretty much impossible to get off the waitlist if you don't make it clear that you will attend, or can you just show alot of interest?

I wish that Princeton would make an attempt to notify waitlisters as soon as possible. I feel like I can't do anything until I find out where I am going to college. I basically sit around all day looking at CC because I have nothing better to do or think about.

I'm sorry for the waiting...it is no fun to wait and wonder...
But all of you have fantastic schools, no matter what. I can't even imagine how incredible you must be as students and people to have gotten into the ones your into, and waitlisted at Princeton amongst record numbers of applicants (16 or 17 thousand??). Incredible. Keep busy and happy (Gatsby!), and know that you're going to have a great four years, no matter where you end up!

Nickleby, you are the only person who can know where you most want to be. If someone came up to you now and said, "ok, you're accepted!" would you be all excited and jump up and say, "YES!" and go tell everyone? If so, there's your answer. And either way, life is good.

Keeping my fingers crossed for y'all. But yes, either way, life is good!
