Haha, I don't know what is going to happen to me if I go to the East for college. San Diego is in the mid 60's everyday, and it hit 80's last week.

Well ... you might roll up in a little ball and hibernate. Or, you might learn to love having seasons. Probably one or the other. Maybe even both -- only hibernate during (normal) January. This January, so far, does not call for hibernation.

in canada where i live there hasnt been snow in many weeks, and i havent worn a jacket in many weeks either. wore a t-shirt out last night. think about 15 degrees celsius it was

the only problem is everybody's igloos here are melting at an alarming rate.

you think not having snow is glorious!?!

Snow is good. . .just get rid of the sub-zero weather, and the wind and I'm good.

Last year we had this one really, really cold spell in upstate NY (I live 4 hour NE of Cornell. . mostly east). It was like -20 to -35 every single morning for over a week. I'm really hoping that it will not get that cold this year, because unlike last year, classes are a bit of a hike. . . .

So in that respect warm is good.

without the subzero weather and wind there wouldnt be all that much snow

so by snow i mean all that other junk that comes with it because it ALWAYS comes wit it

Very strange weather for Ithaca. But, I am loving it! I remember three years ago it was freezing around this time. One of the coldest winter ever. This year is absolutely wonderful. Hopefully the nice weather will keep up.

you people are mental...and you call yourself central new yorkers?!! Come on..i want some powder so i can ski in something other than ice damnit... what is wrong with you people?

don't ask for powder in the east...you just look foolish.....haha but yeah I want some snow too.

Long Islanders, how much colder is it in Ithaca than on Long Island?

Colder than I thought it would be, but I'm not sure because we're having a warm winter here.

The icecaps are melting!

its too warm...

I want snow, god-dammit!

AND IF THESE FRESHMEN GET A REALLY NICE RUSH WEEK...hoo boy...It was SOOOOO FREAKIN cold during rush week last year!

how come we can say god-dammit and not pi$$

yeah this swear filter is messed up..but i've skiied powder in the east. I've skiied powder at Greek Peak (i live like 5-10 minutes away from Greek). I basically just skip school the day after it dumps like crazy..and get fresh tracks:D

yeah yeah, i've skied powder at mountain creek hahaha...but you know what i'm saying...powder and east really don't go together like ice and east do :)

deff dude...if you can ski the east..you can ski anywhere cause you really need to know how to ride your edges here and you first need to HAVE edges:p
