For those who did well on US History

How did you study? I took the test in May without studying at all and did really bad... 660.

I'm planning on retaking it in either October or November, and I just bought either a barrons or princeton review book (cant remember which). How would you suggest studying? Should I just read the book cover to cover and do as many practice tests as I can? I really need to make a 750+ this time to balance out the really bad grade I got the first time.

Read Barrons and take their practice test.

I read Princeton Review, and at least two of the questions in the practice tests were on the test. It was detailed, but it didn't go on tangents like in other prep books.

i just read REA since i had to take the ap exam, and i got a 760

I read some of Kaplan and got a 780.

I hope I did reallly, really well. I aced a very hard AP US history class my sophomore year, but was stupid and didn't take SATII's until june junior year. Studied a lot, and on practice tests did really well, but that test was a lot different than all the other tests I had done. Weird questions.
