I would like to start out this post by saying that this is my first time posting on here, so I apologize if this post is supposed to be somewhere else.

For those who have received decisions and live in CA, those who also live in CA (including myself and a lot of my peers) and have not received anything in the mail are becoming anxious.

If you could answer these questions just to clear up some of the information that is getting spread around:

What part of California are you from?

Were you accepted, denied, or waitlisted/spring admitted?

Did your USConnect portal change? For example, FA shows error, Admissions states that they've sent your notification in the mail, etc.

From all the acceptances I’ve seen, they’re from SoCal. I live in North/Central California and I’ll probably get something in the mail tomorrow. I just checked my portal and it’s been shortened to the “we have acted on your application…” message. Good luck to all of us! :D

My daughter was accepted. We are from Thousand Oaks, which is just north of Los Angeles. Her portal says something like “We cannot process your status at this time.”

Ya I am not sure the supposed “1980 Hallmark mailbox” moment is worth it for everyone that has to wait, and then for the 1000’s that are ultimately rejected. Would rather have had them yesterday and everyone get them at the same time. If you every watch Parenthood, there was a great scene where the kid logs in and up on the screen comes Congratulations Welcome to UC Berkeley! It was sweet. When UCLA came out we all gathered around the computer and it was a great moment he shared with his siblings seeing the bright yellow congrats. Cal Poly did an amazing video that invoked quite the emotion. Oh well, I guess this way it’s supposed to be like Christmas. Waiting and waiting…

Southern California, about 30 minutes away from LA.

Accepted for fall!

Admission stayed the same (“We have received your Common Application and USC Supplement, and it appears we require no additional information at this time.” etc.) and FA shows an error (“The system is experiencing a technical issue, this function is temporarily unavailable.”)

Hi! I am from Beverly Hills (just a short drive away from the USC campus)
I just got accepted to USC Annenberg for Communications this fall. I am so excited and happy!
My Admission Portal says that “they have come to a conclusion about my application and that they have sent out my decision in the mail” I also have Financial Aid errors when I click on the links.

Good luck to the out of state people! GO TROJANS

I’m from Pasadena (about 12 miles from USC) & I got accepted to Annenberg for Communication tonight! I live at the end of my mail route so I got mine at around 5 pm.

My portal pretty much just says that my decision got mailed.

Do all accepted people have an error message right now on their financial aid boxes? I had error messages yesterday but they’re gone now. The fact that some accepted people are saying they have errors is freaking me out even though it’s such a small thing and most likely doesn’t mean anything…

I live in NorCal, though! And I haven’t gotten anything. Actually I don’t even think the mailman came to my house today…

I think something touched on this earlier. The error messages might have to do with the kind of internet browser you’re using such as Internet Explorer, Safari, or Google Chrome. I’m using Google chrome and my portal works fine and I don’t see any error messages.

We got the packet today. Live in Claremont, CA, 35 miles east of USC. Accepted. No change in application status check, errors on everything else.

In past years the Los Angeles postmark was the same, but packets were delivered to the wrong addresses, arrived with tears and rips, arrived up to 10 days later, arrived on different days in the same neighborhood and last year a few never arrived at all! Please do not blame SC for errors in postal delivery.
