For US/international applicants

Does Mcgill have rolling admissions?
When is a good time to apply?
How important are senior year grades?
Considering, by the time I apply, I will only have my 1st marking period grades, can they make a big difference?
Also, is it possible for me to send in my semester grades once I get them at the end of january(note:deadline for applying is Jan 21st)? Will this help much?
Does Mcgill practice any sort of racial quota system?
Is it generally harder for international applicants to get in?

Thanks. And feel free to add more questions. This can be sort of like an official thread for international applicants.

mcgill says it has started a rolling admissions process for US applicants

when you feel most comfortable and secure with your application

i dont believe mcgill practices affirmative action

it is generally harder for international applicants to get in at any school because they accept a relatively small number

considering how easy and simple the application is to fill out, i'd do it as soon as possible, expecially now that it's rolling admissions. it took me literally five minutes.
i don't think they'll care what your marking period grades are, it might not even show up on your transcript when you send it, but they will need your semester grades in january - just talk to your college counselor about sending them, it's a pretty standard thing to require so there is no reason it would be a problem to send. i don't know how important the first semester grades are, though.

What about for Canadian applicants? Is it still rolling? I live in the US but will be applying as a Canadian citizen.

When does Mcgill actually start reviewing their applicants? Do they only start after the deadline? And again, do they hold senior year grades with equal weightage as 10th or 11th?
