I'm bummed; I just got off the phone with reslife and they have only resolved 2 forced triples thus far and have been instructed to not give "false hope" about resolving the housing crunch prior to orientation. My question is ;does anyone know the dimensions of the microfridge unit since the fridge part will be woefully inadequate for 3"6ft" men. As a varsity athlete my son could fill it with Gatorade alone! I would just buy a fridge the size of the entire unit and forget about the microwave for now. Also, in case anyone was wondering, unlike other colleges they do not give any credit for a triple( they say it is a multiple occupancy rate). He just gets a better lottery# next year. That's swell but with 2 in college this year every little bit helps. Thanks for letting me vent! I also found out that my son's coach retired which is a shame because we really liked him and he played a big role in choosing Tufts over other schools. I'm sure it will all work out and he have a wonderful time and get a superior education but we're not starting out too well!

Buy the fridge & stash a microwave under the bed - it's cheaper than renting.

A good lottery number is key for sophomores, who get the second-worst picks out of any class (at least when I was there). Rooms are reserved for freshman & sophomores, but the freshmen get nicer rooms, usually. Juniors & seniors share the leftovers, with seniors picking first.
