Has anyone had any experience with their microfridge rental progam? I like the idea that its delivered to the room, but a little unsure on the quality of it since they are used

No experience, but at orientation someone from RPS mentioned the microwave is small. My daughter is bringing a microwave and her roommate the refrigerator.

It’s cheaper just to buy a fridge and small microwave from Walmart or a similar store.

Rental is helpful if you are out of state

we have a 3.3 cu ft minifridge already, and I noticed that the size limit on the RPS website says 3.0. Anyone know if what we have will be allowed? I’d hate to have to buy another one

My husband did my D’s bed lofting, so we didn’t have to pay – and no one complained.

If you can transport a fridge and microwave (or share with ones owned by your roommate), it is much cheaper to bring your own, assuming you use them for more than one year.

iudad13: exact same situation here. We have the 3.3cf already too. I noticed recently the RPS guide limitation. I wonder if that has not been updated since the newer fridges with the seperate freezer door were marketed. What is interesting is that the Fridge/MicroRental is the exact same fridge we have the 2 door model. So I figure if the fridge is regulation size for rental, then it should be okay for us.

We did consider rental for a bit, but since we are in state, thought it might be easier just have the purchase expense freshman year and be done with it.

My son lived in Kelly and had a 3.3 cu. ft. fridge. There were no fridge police that checked the size.

Thanks HoosierParent!
