Fordam and Science?

can any current student tell me how the science dpt. at Rose Hill is like? is it competitive in any way? im interested in Physic and Math btw.

Fordham has a very strong science program and it is very competitive; Rose Hill is definitely the place to go over Lincoln Center for science. My roommate is a chem major who is taking physics 2 and he finds it very challanging. Alot of the grades in the science department end up getting curved since average test grades hover in the 50-60% range (this is especially true for Organic Chem.... not as much for Physics though it is still hard to get an A). Another friend of mine was a Math major but has since transferred-- she found the Multivariable Calc class to be too much (and she is very bright, if not a little bit lazy). In other words, if you plan to be a science major, be prepared to work a whole lot-- this can probably apply to any college, however, at Fordham it is different since you have to take all of the science classes plus the rest of the core curriculum (2 semesters of language -- non-sci. majors have to take as many as 5 sem of lang.-- , 2 religion classes, 2 philosophy classes, 3 eng, 2 history). Future employers, for the most part, are well aware of Fordham's notorious core and in the end all of those "extra" classes will only help you.
