THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

I think you are academically qualified, I was accepted last year with an incredibly similar profile. Upon visiting the campus and speaking to students I can very close to going to Fordham but decided last minute against it for financial reasons. All I can add is that when speaking to the admissions counselor after acceptance them emphasized the very competitive transfer class as though they had consciously decided to make it so for that cycle. Moreover, they emphasized my essays as what distinguished me from the rest of the academically qualified pool. Good luck!

Hey Stephenvan, when did you submit your application if you don’t mind me asking? I’m just wondering because I thought I sent mine pretty late…its good to see I’m not the only one who does these types of things last minute lol. Anyways, I applied as a transfer student going into my sophomore year and I just got my acceptance letter last week. Looking at your stats, I’d say your in. I had a 3.81 from a CC, similar hs gpa, similar ec’s, and no letters of recommendation but I did send in my resume since that was an option. We have very similar stats so I wouldn’t see why you wouldn’t get accepted. Now I’m just waiting for my financial aid package, Fordham is sooo expensive and I probably won’t attend unless I get a good amount of aid. And I guess they don’t give transfer students any kind of scholarships based on merit which really sucks because our scores are pretty competitive. You shouldn’t worry though, Fordham wouldn’t turn a student like you away. What other schools have you applied to?

@doubleS I also applied to CUNY Hunter, CUNY Baruch, CUNY Brooklyn, as well as Columbia, Cornell, and NYU. Do you have any idea what my chances for these schools might be? and haha yeah I sent in my application late. I know Columbia and Cornell may be a stretch.

You probably won’t have trouble getting into the Cuny’s, NYU could go either way depending on what program you’re applying to, and Columbia and Cornell are like you said a bit of a stretch. The thing with Columbia and Cornell though is you never know what they’re looking for so you might get lucky. I would say Cornell is a bit easier to get into though, I was thinking of applying but its so late now…I’ll probably apply for the Spring semester. Let me know if you get in though! Good luck!
