Fordham University Vs. Boston University

Hey guys,

I am currently a first semester sophomore.

I’ll be transferring in the Spring semester, and have been accepted to various schools. My top two are Fordham, where I was admitted to the Gabelli School of Business, and BU, where I was admitted to the School of Hospitality Admin.

Can anyone offer some insight in these two programs? My ultimate goal is to be involved in commercial real estate development.

I have heard that the BU SHA program is still business-oriented, just with an emphasis on service. However, would it be more adventageous for me to stick to a more traditional business program?

Cost is not a factor, nor is location (although I do like the “feel” of BU more).

Thanks in advance!!

BU SHA does have a business focus but it is focused on the hospitality industry. There is a required internship in a hotel or food service company.

As a Jesuit college Fordham has a very large liberal arts core curriculum. I would take the time online to go through the core as well as the requirements for your projected major and see if you can graduate on time.

Given you got into Fordham’s business school, I would go with that. Their placement record is good…check this out:
