Fordham University

everyone! I recently applied to Fordham with early action, but I’m slightly worried. I have a high GPA of 4.14 weighted and 3.7 unweighted & lots of extracurriculars. Also, I think my essay was pretty solid. However, I have a low SAT score of 1580 and I can’t retake it since I applied for early action and my scores are due. I applied to Fordham Lincoln Center with my major being psychology. Fordham is my number one choice, but I feel like my SAT score is waaaay too low Any response is appreciated!

You can always take the SAT again and resend scores if you are deferred.

Hey,
My stats are similar to yours :’(
I have a 4.152 weighted but my super score is a 1670. (took 3 times)
Hopefully, we get in!
Let me know if you have heard anything from them?

I recently just got my new SAT scores so my score went up to a 1620 so fingers crossed! I haven’t heard anything yet, but I heard some EA applicants already got there letters :frowning: fingers crossed we get in! good luck to you @Ashlyvez

@brynlwrnc I would suggest you to take it again! My second score is 360 higher than my first score and my third score is 60 higher than my second score! 1620 is not so solid for Fordham but good luck, you have a great GPA!

See below for average test scores at Fordham. Your GPA is good but I’m afraid your new SAT scores still fall well short of even the 25% mark.

Good luck with Fordham and throughout the process.

@spirit77 It says that the middle 50% have 1820-2060. Does it mean that only 25% of their applicant’s scores are below 1820?

^^Yes. A 1580 makes Fordham out of reach.

Mine is 1850… almost made the mid 50%… so nervous

@Fiona1997 Yes, the range given by the middle 50% is the 25th percentile on the low end (25% of scores are below that number) and the 75th percentile on the high end (25% of scores are above that number).

I just got into Fordham Early Action. I have a 4.0 weighted GPA and I take a number of AP and Honors courses and have strong extracurriculars. I also had a 31 on my ACT
