Fordham v. UConn Honors Program

The only thing more stressful than applying to college is picking a college.

I applied to 6 schools. Boston College was my first choice but I was waitlisted. I got into Providence College, Stonehill College, Fordham University, Penn State, and the UConn Honors Program. I don't know where to go!

I have narrowed it down to Fordham and UConn based on cost and because of the very slim odds that I get off the BC waiting list.

Why I Like UConn:
Honors Program offers better advising, better housing, small classes and greater chances of getting into UConn grad school
In-state cost
Great school spirit and partying

Why I Like Fordham:
Beautiful campus
More prestige
Smaller student body
Less people from my high school

I am interested in psychology but am seriously considering going to law school.
UConn or Fordham? Or should I pick one of the others?

UConn has a lot going for it. I’m assuming that a lot of kids from your HS attend, and that that is a drawback. But you will be surprised how little you will see those kids once on campus.

Will you attend grad school? If so, save money by attending UConn, which is a great school, and put your money towards a more prestigious grad school when the time comes.
