I am planning to pursue a career in either the medical field or in the health sciences field (leaning towards becoming a PT, but unsure right now). I'd like to dance while I'm at college since I do that pre-professionally but figured I wouldn't major in it because I don't think you can do much (/get your thousands of dollars back) from a BFA in dance... which was a bummer... but yeah. Is Fordham's health science program reputable? Biology isn't mentioned as one of their top majors and as I am planning to major in that and Fordham is my top school I'm a little concerned.

Can someone please tell me a little about both schools? Strengths and weaknesses?

I can’t speak to Fordham but I can give some insight into Muhlenberg. It has an excellent biology program and is very strong in the sciences in general. They send an amazing number of students into medical schools as well as graduate programs. They have amazing facilities and a very strong sense of community. Their theater department is rated tops in the country according to some. They have amazing opportunities for students to get involved in shows, productions, concerts and recitals at all different levels according to their level of interest. The student body is an interesting mix of kids in preprofessional programs and theater kids who all seem to get along and support each other. I highly recommend a visit and if you are interested make sure you do the official tour and interview and show them some love. They are most interested in students that show interest in them. . . good luck!

My S went to Fordham Rose Hill and had a phenomenal experience. There is a biology major at RH but not at Lincoln Center. Students have been successful in pre-med and other pre health fields.

You really should consider where you want to go to school (city, suburban), the type of school you want (Jesuit v secular), LAC v mid-size university etc. .

Both are very good. Have you visited?
If so, how much would each cost?
Overall, if you don’t have a strong preference, considering how strong both schools are, I’d pick the cheapest. :)

I went to Fordham, but my older D is at Muhlenberg. We love the small but beautiful campus at Muhlenberg, and feel that she is being challenged as a Biology major. She is making phenomenal friendships. Fordham is, obviously, the big city vibe, and it’s more of a diploma mill. It’s really about size of the school and location. Allentown isn’t Amherst, but it’s not the Bronx either.
