Which of these two schools is most generous in financial aid?
For the most part NYU gives lousy aid, unless they really want you. Don’t count on it. Here is some info about Fordham’s aid: http://www.collegedata.com/cs/data/college/college_pg03_tmpl.jhtml?schoolId=1148
I thought you said in your other thread that money isn’t an issue. If you need scholarships to be able to attend school, I wouldn’t count on NYU. They cost $70k/year and their aid is usually horrible.
Stop making new threads about essentially the SAME thing…Fordham vs NYU
And stop making threads that give conflicting info.

And yesterday, you wrote the above.
Fordham is also not good with aid. Many posters who say that got in, follow that with the statement that they will not attend because they were given inadequate aid. If you are dependent on financial aid, neither school is a good choice.
NYU : Known in popular culture as making parents poor, or putting kids into debt! (see movies: “Wall Street” and “In Good Company”)
Run the Net Price Calculator.
Financial aid is iffy at both, but iffier at NYU and Fordham’s more likely to offer something.
An exception would be if you live in NYC and are HEOP.
There’s a new novel (fun beach read BTW) called The Assistants that rests on major college debt from NYU. It’s THAT well-known for lousy aid and major debt.
neither. find another school.
I hope you understand that going to college in NYC is not the key to getting a JOB on Wall Street. You have a 32 ACT and a high GPA. Apply to Cornell.
TISCH is the performing arts school at NYU.
There are tons of colleges with good programs that would position you for a job in finances. Neither NYU or Fordham guarantee to meet full need for all…and they don’t. How much aid do you NOW think you need? Give us that answer and we will better be able to suggest schools.
Also, does your family have financial need, or are they just saying they won’t pay $70,000 a year for you to go to college?
You very well could get good merit aid at many different schools…but NOT in NYC.
What is your state of residence? Some public universities have excellent programs, and compared to $70,000 a year for these privates, it will seem like you are getting aid!
And lastly…you have posted about possibly attending medical school, as well as working on Wall Street. I would suggest picking an affordable college where there are diverse programs. I’m guessing you will change your mind…again.
So…if money is a factor (and you need to make up your mind whether it IS or not…)…start with the public universities in NJ. I would suggest The College of New Jersey, and Rutgers. And please don’t say that too many kids from your HS go there. They are both large enough that you will be able to meet lots of kids from lots of other places.
Do a google search for TISCH.
So…price isn’t a factor? Or is it? How much have your parents said they will contribute annually?
what budget have your parents given you? If they haven’t, run the NPC for tcnj, Rutgers, Fordham, Cornell, Middlebury, Hamilton, and see what they say.
highest ranked business program of the “reasonable” priced schools is TCNJ by a wide margin.
