Hello! I am a high school junior and was wondering if Fordham or University of Florida would be a better match. I am nearly positive that I will be NMF for my state.
I made a 1450 on PSAT, and I made a 1460 (as of now) on the ACT. My subscores were 680 in math and 780 in reading. I have a 32 on the ACT, and hope to get that up soon. I have taken 3 APs as of now, and plan on taking 5 APs next year. The only test score from AP test I have as of now is a 4.
Extracurriculars: Drum major (3 years), Dance captain, showchoir member, madrigal singer, beta club member, vice president and then president of thespians, NHS member, actively involved in theatre both at school and in the community
I was wondering first off, if I even had a shot at getting the NMF scholarship at Fordham. Does anyone know how competitive that scholarship is? The second thing I was wondering is which college would be of better value to me. I want to double major in Communication and Culture:Institutions and Audience and Film in Television with a television concentration if I went to Fordham. If I went to UF I would major in telecommunication (unsure of what track), and a possible double major in English. If I went to Fordham I would be about 30k in student debt with the scholarship upon graduation. UF would give me a full ride. Fordham has fantastic networking and internship opportunities due to its location in entertainment. I am also interested in law school for entertainment law. Fordham also has the leg up on internships for that one. Which school do you think would give me the most advantage-more debt and better location, worse location, but no debt.
