Has anyone taken any of the asian studies courses that can comment on their level of difficulty? I was thinking about taking ANS 301R HISTORY OF RELIGIONS OF ASIA as a foreign culture class to be an alternative to a foreign language class so if anyone can provide me with any guidance it would be greatly appreciated.

I took ANS 301R this past spring as an alternate to a foreign language class. My professor was Freiberger and he was a VERY easy grader. All you had to do was show up to class, take notes, study the notes, and you would for sure get an A in the class.

Thanks for the quick response, it looks like for fall Brereton is teaching ANS 301R and Freiberger is teaching a 301M course. Have you heard anything about Brereton or do you think it would make a difference since the course it self wasn’t too difficult (or was it the professor that made it easier)

anyone else?

please :{{{

I’m taking that class too. I actually picked brereton bc on rate my professors it says he’s a pretty easy grader

Have you heard anything about the class?

Nope no idea, I mean on the course schedule it basically explains it .
