would hosting a foreign exchange student be worth listing on the extra information section on Apps?

Of course.

^^
I’m not sure why !? In most cases it’s something the family does. It’s no more of a notable event than a family vacation.

That’s not true at all. Having a foreign student in one’s home is a major change for most families … definitely a big learning experience, too, and sometimes with some unexpected “lessons” on the docket.

If the exchange student’s stay was very brief (a week or less) then it may not be application-worthy. But if the student spent the school year with you … or several months … then your host duties probably took a big chunk of time, and the experience is definitely worth reporting on applications, if you so choose.

It seemed more like something I would list in the extra information section. It is a 10 month live-in. He is from Germany and my intended minor is German so I thought it would be pretty important but just checking :)
