Foreign Exchange Senior Year?

I am a junior in high school and I have always dreamed of travelling anywhere and everywhere. I am currently learning Spanish in school and it has always came easily to me -- I even skipped Spanish 4 and am now the youngest student in Advanced Placement Spanish 5. I was content in the decision to simply wait for college to study abroad, but I just recently found a full scholarship under the program YFUUSA called Skylink Travel House for which I am eligible. I would love to spend a year in Argentina if I am accepted to receive this scholarship. I know I should probably just stick to waiting for college, but the opportunity to study, basically free, during high school just seems almost too good to pass up. Plus, I could always study abroad again somewhere else in college and studying in high school would give me a slight upper hand when it comes to applying for colleges, even though none of that is comparable to the sheer amount of life-changing experiences I would encounter.
My only concerns about studying abroad senior year is credit transfer, college applications, missing graduation.
1) What if I end up returning home just to find out none of the credits earned while in Argentina are adequate?
2) How would I go about filling out applications while abroad? Plus, does it really help that much on applications? I have recently been thinking about studying to become a doctor of some kind, so how do med-schools think of students who have studied abroad?
3) I don't care about missing any other aspect of senior year because frankly, being able to be in Argentina sounds 10x better; however, the idea of missing the chance to walk the stage and receive my diploma with my family watching seems a little disappointing to me. If I were to get accepted into the year program, which beings mid-August and ends late-June, I would definitely miss this opportunity. I have heard foreign exchange students have to come home occasionally to renew their visas, what are the chances I'd be able to go to the graduation ceremony on one of my short returns to the U.S.? I'm sure that's completely implausible and I'm stupid for wondering it, but its worth asking.

Okay I know this is long but answers would be greatly appreciated!
