How impressive is it for a non-native speaker to do very well (750+) on one of these tests? How many of you have done this and on which test?

I would think it is pretty impressive because I have heard these tests are really, really hard for non-Native speakers. But then again, depending on your circumstances then you could be more prepared than most people. However, how would communicate your "non-nativeness" to colleges? It doesn't say "Non-Native Speaker" or "Native Speaker" next to the score.

That being said, however, College Board does want to know and publishes data comparing the two groups.

so if i was born here in the states but im chinese and i take chinese sat, will it look good? i havent been to chinese school for 4 years, but ppl say i can probally do well. listening would be no problem.

eh wouldnt look terrific

No - Chinese perhaps is the only one that doesn't look good (well, not that good at least) if you are of Chinese descent and take it. The percentiles for Chinese are similar to (or perhaps even harsher) than Math Level 2 - an 800 is like 60% or something (I forget the exact numbers). It's because (mostly) only Chinese kids take the Chinese SAT.

so maybe i shouldnt take sat chinese
