Foreign Languages for Getting into Emory

On the collegeboard website for Emory it says that 4 foreign language credits are recommended: https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/college-university-search/emory-university# I am a sophomore in high school and I take Spanish III. I took Spanish II last year and and Spanish I in middle school, but my middle school grades sucked so if I count that credit (not even sure if I can) will my poor grades look bad? Ideally I don't really want to take Spanish next year, but if I have to then I won't be against it. But will I need 0,1, or 2 more years of a foreign language?

Edit: on the website, you must click the "See if you are on track tab" then scroll down.

You’ll probably at least one more year, then, if it says you need 4…talk to your guidance counselor.

yea I thought I would, and I’ll go speak to him. I might try moving to a different foreign language (maybe Latin) because I am currently in on-level spanish because of my bad middle school grades. Or I might just try to get bumped up to honors.

Edit: OH and it says 4 is recommended, I’m not to sure how accurate collegeboard is with these things though since I can’t find any statement about that on Emory’s website.
