<p>hello i'm a junior in high school and am thinking about applying to AGA Khan University straight out of high school. instead of spending 4 years doing an undergrad and then applying to medical school, i just want to spend 5 years. </p>
<p>does anyone know how hard it is to get into AGA Khan as an American student?</p>
<p>it is not too hard if you have good scores etc. Just keep in mind that right now it sounds easy. However, it is not that simple. I was also at first thinking of going to Aga Khan. But i know a lot of people from there and they have a lot of trouble when they try to move back to USA and do medical. Remember that there are a lot more opportunities here and even those 4 years of undergrad will not be a waste but will help you get more mature and eventually make you a better doctor and person. It may be quite competitive here but that is the way to grow mentally. If you are motivated enough, you will get through those 8 years. As an international graduate, you will face a lot more prejudice in the residency system which is happening to some people i know. I have also visited Aga Khan and the environment there is way different. If you are not native from pakistan, you may want to think again.</p>
<p>thanks. the website said an old SAT score of 1250. i know i can do better than that but i'm not sure how many people from the U.S. apply and how many of those that have applied get in. you visited AGA Khan, do you know what the environment is like? ethnically i am pakistani and speak urdu fluently but was born in the US.</p>
