I’ve been researching this a little bit and these two topics are really popular together but not a lot of articles give me the info I need. In a nutshell I want to get a Bachelors (maybe PhD) in forensic psychology and a masters in music. I don’t want to minor in one and have one be my focus, I want to study both seriously. Every academic adviser I’ve spoken to basically tells me I’m sol and I need to choose. I have no idea which state I’ll be living in once I’m done with my associates so I have n’t really looked at any schools yet.
Does anyone know how realistic it would be to do this and how I would go about doing this? Would I be studying both at the same time at the same school? At the same time at two different schools? Or would I have to do one first?
Thank you in advance,
Elizabeth.
Be bold. I would email some profs that are on the faculty that teaches Forensic psychology and ask them. I suspect a major in Psychology would provide more job security. Remember, over time, you may evolve and suddenly you’ll just know the path for you. My husband had a psych patient who “communicated telepathically” with members of Tears for Fears band members. Patient was quite pleased my husband knew all about the band and the various members. All the best. No rule against two passions.
