Forget school, it's summer! (Off topic 4.0)

I love running also!! :slight_smile:

@ScholarAthleteXC Uh
definitely read Twilight. :wink: Yeah. Haha, well if you haven’t read them already, definitely check out 1984 and Fahrenheit 451. Ender’s Game and Starship Troopers are also supposed to be good. I’m not really a romance type of person though (or sci-fi), so sorry, I’m zero help there.

I ran the 400 and 800. Was mediocre. Better long-distance than sprint, but for some reason I never ran longer than the 800.

@ScholarAthleteXC‌ I shall refer to my nook library to answer this question. Okay, I recommend the following books:
The Leviathan Series by Scott Westerfeld
The Gallagher Girls series
if you like that sort of thing
The Matched Trilogy
The Lunar Chronicles Series (Cinder, Scarlet, Cress
)
Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes
it’s not that good but whatever
The Fault in Our Stars
I guess
The Divergent Series
The Darkest Minds Series
Marie Lu’s Legend Series
The Abhorsen Trilogy if you like fantasy
Jellicoe Road
very good book
The Testing Series
Selection Series
Eleanor and Park
Daughter of Smoke and Bone series
And um
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before
If you like that type of book

@CE527M‌ @dsi411‌ Thank you both. I will check them out :slight_smile:

Let’s go Spurs

This thread is dead. Y’all are boring.

Tell Dr. CE your deepest secrets and problems.

I have an urgent need to end all relationships that I have due to a long seated discomfit I have due to my egomaniacal ways, Dr @CE527M

@Apollo11 Always remember that in addition your interests and desires, people also have their own. If you end relationships and burn bridges, then they will be unable to fulfill their own desires of being close with you. And then you’ll ultimately be alone and without love and friendship even if you have the world.

-Dr. CE

@mrnephew - Miami has no shot at winning the playoffs this year. :P

Was there a basketball game today? Who won? I don’t watch much basketball but I hope the Heat don’t win. I dislike the Heat very much. Probably because my sister likes them so much.

Heat lost. So you should be happy. So should everyone.

@dsi411 - Lol, everyone hates the Heat.

Kawhi Leonard is my mcm way to early

@CE527M I hate the high school I am at right now (besides the sports program) since it’s full of thick-skulled cheerleaders and jocks
but transferring to another decent school means at least 2 hrs less sleep and 30-50 min car or bus ride to school
or I could DE starting sophomore yr at a univ nearby, but I heard that DE is a lot easier than the APs offered by my HS
I just don’t know anymore

@ScholarAthleteXC Sounds like my school, except slightly worse.

@ScholarAthleteXC‌

DE, unless you plan on applying oversees, is wayyy better than APs. You’ll have teachers that are more interesting, more dynamic are usually better. Also, DE is accepted more often than AP credit and APs are only hard due to incredibly contrite busy work that doesn’t actually help in any way.

TL;DR: Dual Enrollment is better in every way compared to APs, unless you wish to apply overseas.

Also, perhaps such “cheerleaders and jocks” have more to them. Most people aren’t walking stereotypes once you get to know them.

Lastly, never compromise on sleep. Getting 8+ hours can make you a completely different person than if you are getting 5-7

@Apollo11 Just asked one of my friends, and the deadline for DE was a few weeks ago. :confused: Thanks anyway. I’ll try to plan ahead next year and apply for DE. And I wish they weren’t stereotypes, but I’ve known most since kindergarten, and they get worse every year. --
The year was going so badly especially towards the end that I seriously considered transferring, but now that the transportation conflict is in writing, I’m glad I didn’t
or else I would regularly get 5 hrs/night
just imagine 0o

Lebron was reminded of his Cleveland days

@ScholarAthleteXC‌
Call the college up and ask if there is an Add/Drop period later on. You might still be able to get in.

Bump
