Forgot a space at a crucial point in my essay. Big deal?

I just read over my essay again, and I noticed a really embarrassing mistake. I had a paragraph that was supposed to begin "The reason I love Penn is...", but I forgot to put a space in, and it says "The reason I love Pennis..."

Do you think this will hurt my chances??

Rofl. That is quite an amusing mistake. I noticed a few mistakes on my app and essay after submitting them. At first, I was freaking out about it. But honestly, there is nothing you can do about it now. Just relax. We’ll see what happens on Friday.

■■■■ LMAO

i assume ur a girl right?? :P

jkjk, ya, this is quite embarrasing, but i don’t think it will hurt your chances. in fact, it might provide some laughter to the admission office, so, who knows?

lol this post made my day :)

It could have been much worse. At least you didn’t omit one of the “n’s” in Penn…?! One little space on an essay isn’t going to tarnish your whole body of work that makes up your application.

in fact, I think that error will help greatly :)

LOL

Is this serious? If so, I think it’s really funny. Hopefully, the adcom agrees.

i dont believe you that this is serious :)

this post will keep me laughing for the next 3 days hahaha.

go Pen15!

I was planning to make a sarcastic remark when I saw the title of the thread, but that mistake is fantastic.

I don’t get it.

I doubt that is going to hurt you. I’ve made the classic mistake of using the wrong name in the essay. I applied to Vandy, Cornell and Emory using the common app. Needless to say, my essay said something along the lines of “I love Vanderbilt”. I had a fun time contacting admissions offices and fixing that one.

Hahahahaha cute.

Did it hurt you? :(
