What happens if you accidentally forgot to single space your essay before you sumbitted it online??? Will they just ignore your app for not following directions or is it a minor thing???

Anyone please help. I am kinda worried now.

bumped people

they never said “Don’t double space it”, so I’m assuming it shouldn’t be a problem.

Thats what I thought. But my friend told me to look at the application for the supplement. And At the top of the essay topics it says to not double space it. I cant imagine they would take something so minor so seriously but it is princeton. any insight???

I think the whole point of not double-spacing your essay is to save paper. If you happen to forget to double-space your essay, I wouldn’t worry about it.

They actually do specifically state, even on the online supplement, that you shouldn’t double space. It’s even in bold! But, I doubt they would reject you for something so trivial, so don’t worry too much.

those little details are not the factors that determine your admission.
just relax a little; besides, it’s not something you can change by stressing, unless you possess magical powers.

If you’re still spazzing out, you can actually call admissions requesting to re-upload your essays single spaced. Some schools have been known to allow that.

I dunno, it seems really minor.

But then again, so is omitting a citation in any sort of academic paper (or here at Princeton, not signing the Honor Pledge - by which I mean writing it out in full but not signing your name accidentally. This happened to me). And we all know what happens when that situation arises. Not too pretty.

Best of luck.
