I just did the stupidest thing today. I forgot to attach my CV to the application and I really want to sent it. Is there any way it can be done???
You could try it this way: https://forms.admissions.cornell.edu/webform/admissions/submit.php
Thanks a lot!!!
They let me attach three documents. Can I send more.
College applications is one area where more is not better. Although you have spent countless hours crafting the perfect application, AO’s will spend 12-15 minutes reading each one. Adding more material does not mean that they will spend more time reading your application. Rather, the balance of your file will be skimmed through. The thicker the file, the thicker the student.
Ugh don’t bother attaching a CV. What he said above.
I think CV is important if you want to describe in more detail the activities that you did…
And if you have any awards talk about what they mean
& I also had a note on mine
Common app just doesn’t have enough room -_-
12-15 minutes. It’s a college admit review, not a biography. The only extras that are “important” are those that are relevant to your review and not already covered elsewhere. Adcoms don’t need a rehash of what’s in your activities section or need to know about the one or two extra things you did in your life. You are supposed to be able to “self edit,” especially when applying to a tippy top.
Every minute spent on reading a resume is a minute taken away from the rest of the app, maybe even your essay.
@applicantcor @ibandcollege you need to learn to be succinct with your application to make the important items fit. The application and essays should be sufficient. Admissions has over 40k applications to review. Have some mercy.
