I just realized rather painstakingly that I never actually submitted any of the myBerkeleyApplication transfer forms, like the major prereq and gen-ed forms. This totally sucks and it’s really stupid on my part, but it is what it is.
I filled them out back in January but forgot to save them because I was waiting on particularly slow professor to update my grade, so I guess I’m to blame. I just filled them out and submitted them and the system didn’t give me any issues, so I’ll call them and explain my situation to them on Monday and see if they’ll accept it.
A few students on the forum have reported not filling it out and still receiving an acceptance- but I wouldn’t count on that. You might want to go ahead and fill it out anyway and notify the admissions office of the mistake.
@lancaster29 for what it’s worth, I asked my daughter again and she is adamant she did not fill it out last year because she didn’t know about it, and she got in. It just seems to me they want it to help the process in some way, but I don’t think you’re just flat out eliminated without it. I don’t know.
When you returned to the forms recently though, were the grades still there from before? What I’m saying is that I think they automatically submit at the deadline if you don’t do so yourself, so if they were still there then they would have automatically been saved/submitted.
I think he was saying he never saved anything. My daughter said there’s a save button in each form and all these warnings to save at least every thirty minutes. I’m not sure why he wouldn’t have saved his in-progress for later update, but it sounds like he just left the site without saving.
She also said there’s a note at the bottom that says there will be a check mark next to the form when it has been received. So I guess if he didn’t have any check marks… ??
