Forgotten information

Hello everyone,
There was some information/context for some of my extracurriculars that I did not mention on the Common App. Would I be able to email admissions to add that to my application?
Thanks!!

You should upload your “forgotten information” to the portal and it will be added to your file.

@gibby I do not see anywhere on the portal to upload this information. Would it be through the Upload Supplementary Materials section? I thought that was just for people with portfolios, research, etc.

Once you submit the Common Application to a college, your application cannot be changed or altered. Any additional information – updates with new awards, honors or information you forgot – is considered supplemental material. So, you need to write a letter asking that new information be added to your file.

Before you do though: Is the information you forget absolutely essential to your application? Student’s do not have to report every EC they ever did in high school and if you forget something it’s probably because the EC is not a major or significant one. In which case, I would just let it go, as reporting a non-substantial EC might make an applicant look desperate.

It was reporting a leadership position that I forgot and giving more context for two ECs that I don’t feel that I described well on the Common App @gibby
