Form B?

I have to take the Form B AP US History exam soon, and I have heard that Form B exams are usually harder than the originals.

My friends said that the exam today was really easy - some of the MC were repeats from released exams, the DBQ was extremely easy, and the essays covered pretty broad topics. This has me worried that I won't get so lucky with the Form B test; even my teacher didn't seem 100% confident that I would get a 5 (I'm one of his top three students, have been expected to get a 5 all year, etc).

I was just curious: does anyone know exactly how Form B tests differ? Are they actually harder? Are they graded against other Form B tests only, or against the whole pool? Any information on the differences between Form B and regular AP tests would be much appreciated, thanks.

Bump, any help is much appreciated.

They aren’t actually harder. That isn’t possible, because it obviously wouldn’t be fair and would affect the curve (I’m not sure if they’re curved separately; but you never see different statistics for the Form B, so I’m willing to bet everything is lumped together).

People get the feeling that it’s difficult because all of their peers have already taken it, and they let it get to their head that they’re “different” and set apart from everybody else. It’s standardized and reliable just as the regular exam is… there’s no need to worry. What you’re doing now is what makes it appear harder. ;)

you could try looking at past DBQs and FRQs from the other exams and see if form B seems harder.
