Formal Letter of Acceptance

<p>Has anyone received a formal letter of acceptance? I checked Minerva and was admitted (I'm so excited) about 5 days ago, but in all the emails i get from mcgill, including the one congratulating me on my acceptance, there is a little disclaimer at the bottom saying, "Please note that any reference to admissions in this communication should not be considered as an official acceptance to the University. The official admission decision is conveyed in McGill's formal letter of acceptance." so theres the stem of my question. About how long after the acceptance on minerva should i expect a letter in the mail?</p>

<p>I'm from the US and I understand that it will take time, but i just want to be certain i was accepted!</p>

<p>hey fbor611, mcgill uses canada post to deliver all their mail. after both my acceptance status/scholarship info appeared on minerva, i received the formal letters roughly one week after. since you live in the US, i wouldn’t be surprised it the mail took a bit longer – maybe wait 2 weeks before you start to worry :P</p>
