I'm really spazzing out now because I realized how much I didnt hand in..I never got the packet with the math questionnaire, health forms, transcript, room assignment, list of prereg items and it was only last week or so when I realized that everyone had gotten those except me..

I was able to send in my roommate survey because that was done through email, but all the other forms are all late....

Health form

Transcript

Chemistry Placement, Language Placement, Music Placement Test, and Exemption Examinations.
These forms must be completed and returned to the Office of the Dean of First-Year Students by June 10 if you plan to take any of the placement and/or exemption exams.

Math Election Information.
Complete this form whether or not you plan to elect a mathematics course. You may complete it online as directed.
If you are unable to fill out the questionnaire online, you may print it out, mark by hand, and mail the questionnaire by June 10 (use the label)

Should I still send out the placements (even though I have no idea what labels to use), because I got 5's on AP chem and calc bc..and I'd really like to bypass the intro courses in college. Will there be repercussions because ALL my forms are late and I still want the correct placement, etc?

Also, could anyone please direct me to the phone number for the first-year's dean? I keep calling the admissions and making them forward me to all the other numbers..so it would be easier.

I'm assuming you knew you were going to Wellesley when you took your AP tests in May (doesn't matter that these scores in question were from last year's tests), and put down "send the scores to Wellesley College". The math department, if they would have placed you in a lower class because of the test, would automatically give you Wellesley credit for Math 115 and 116, and then put you in Math 205. You would be informed during orientation. That's what happened to me. Not sure how the chem department works.

I think Wellesley gives these deadlines knowing that some people will inevitably turn them in late. I had no idea when most of this stuff was due, and figured I'd have until at least late June to turn them in. Well, on June 11th I picked up the packet and realized just about everything was going to be late! I mailed everything that night, so Wellesley probably got all of my forms 3-4 days late. BUT-I still got my housing assignment on time, and was able to take the math placement test as well.

The moral of the story: missing the deadlines certainly won't kill you, though obviously I wouldn't advise people to purposely put things off. I don't think they'll hold too much against you. After all, we're paying ridiculous amounts of money to go there, so I guess they can cut us a little slack, right? :)

Ah..thank you so much WendyMouse for clarifying the math placement situation..etc..and LisaG for making me feel like I'm not alone..
Now I can relax and enjoy my 45 hours of work/week this summer -__-
