That would be nice. I received the One scholarship, which is the Regents + a little more than the Charter. I also applied for fellowship, though. Not expecting to receive that or Ramsey, but you never know.

yea, my son applied for the Fellowships and based on info there they gave him early honors. Whether we get the Charter or One really doesn’t matter; the real issue is Regents. Obviously I’ll pay $38k private school tuition at a top private before paying $28k for UGA out of state. I’m thinking we hear something this week on Regents.

Son at UGA early honors program today. This morning they said “We will TRY to get the Foundation letters out this Friday”.

That’s upsetting.

Got to be kidding me. Wow.

I got that from my wife. They get back late tonight. I’ll debrief and post again.

Probably a result of all the furloughs over the holidays. Bet they got behind.

Wife and son home now. Yea, confirmed the Fellowship stuff they hope to get out Friday. Wife asked about Regents and unfortunately the Honors staff said they have nothing to do with that; ask Admissions. Admissions said they expect Regents awards to “roll out throughout February”.

Out of today’s group of 20, my son was the only out of state prospective so hopefully that shows “interest”. Again, good luck to all.

Thanks for the update! Still, I’m a little disappointed in the wait. But so goes college admissions

kurzweg…what was the 5 hour session for early honors acceptances. Son received his honors acceptance early-mid December with a UGA One scholarship $1500 plus regents waiver, but never mentioned anything about a 5 hour session for early honors acceptances.

Holy crap…just logged into the foundation fellows…and it told me to rsvp. I think i got it! Link is https://www.admissions.uga.edu/apps/ffrsvp/users/login if anyone else wants to try

I’m pretty sure that’s it! It wouldn’t let me RSVP, but I knew FF was a looooong shot. (Incidentally, I think I made up my mind last night that I want to go to Tech, so I’m cool.)

Congrats Tebow! (Although don’t let them see your username; they might rescind your offer! )

That’s the funny thing about football. If Tebow gets drafted by the Falcons (in a QB or non-QB role), everyone in Georgia will suddenly love the guy.

Haha true. Oh well. Thanks! I’m pretty excited

it was an information session, I think trying to get the kids interested. I can’t recall how we found out about it, but we signed up online. I glanced the other day and saw another one scheduled for March I think, but its full. I only recall seeing this one and the March one which struck me as strange, so few.

tebow congrats!!! Just a couple questions, I don’t want to give up hope on this yet.
- Could you RSVP for the event?
- Where do you find the Foundation Fellowship login on the site?
- Does anyone know if Bernard Ramsey Scholarships are only offered to FF finalists, or can those who didn’t make the finals receive them.
Again congratulations! thats awesome

I could rsvp for the event, and the link I provided was where I accessed it. And yes, Bernard Ramsey recipients are only offered to FF finalists.

ah dang. well good luck to you!

hey Tebow, or anybody else who may know this…when I just went to that site and put in my info, it told me…“You are not eligible to RSVP for the foundation fellows weekend.” Does that mean that I didn’t become one of the 50 or so finalists? Cuz if that does mean that, then I will be severely depressed cuz I thought I had a good shot at making it. So does that mean that there is no chance that I can make it to compete?

also, you really think the Falcons will draft Tebow? i’m a Falcons fan, and i would not want him on my team. We have Matt Ryan and Michael Turner. So he wouldn’t fit in…

Yeah I’m curious if maybe all the decisions haven’t been made yet? It won’t allow me to RSVP and I thought I had a good shot too; I got the Singer Scholarship finalist at Miami (full ride) and various fellows scholarships at other schools as well as Presidential Scholarship finalist at GA Tech
