FOURTH time I took reasoning today. What will colleges say?

most schools even have lower requirements for intls…

NO, the bar is higher.

*Well, how do you explain that of all the people I knew applied to Ivies last year, all got into at least two? :stuck_out_tongue: Their scores were between 2020 and 2180 I think. *

they may have had tremendous ECs and/or fabulous essays. They may have applied to “need aware” ivies and had no need. They may have majored in unusual majors. You’re also not sure of what their SATs were.

Also, while their SATs may have been between 2020-2180…**their M+CR scores may have been very high. **

Their Writing scores may have been low…and some schools (including ivies) don’t weight the Writing score much…maybe especially for int’ls.

Someone with a 2180 could have a 1530 M+CR and 650 Writing…so ivy eligible!

Someone with a 2050 could have a 1450 M+CR and a 600 Writing.

What is YOUR SAT breakdown?

how much will your parents pay for college?

Do you need financial aid? Will you qualify?

Just out of curiosity, which Ivies and schools of similar caliber are need-blind and which are not?

@mom2collegekids
This is exactly what they got:
2040 - m660, CR 700, w690 (not 100% sure of m and w but i know none of them were above 700)
2020 - 670,670,680 (not sure which parts but i know it was evenly distributed like that)
They applied aid to both needblind and needaware. Got into some needblind sms some needaware.
They had great essays and recs (really good essays) and som pretty solid ECs. I guess that’s what got em in.

My breakdown:
2190 (M800 CR680 W710)

There are six need-blind (for intls) schools in the US. Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT, Amherst, Dartmouth. There were eight last year…

No problem that you took it four times. Now, get to work on the ECs and essays.
