Have any of you seen there new shows; they are terrible. The new show "1/2 hour news hour" sucks, its a total knock off of the daily show but painfully conservative and equally dull. They have to rely on laugh tracks it is that bad.
Another thing I saw they was their special called Reel Politics: If Hollywood Ran America, it's where they use Hollywood to attack the left. It was just stupid.
I just don’t get why they keep saying they’re "fair and balance" when they are so noticeably not.

FAIR AND BALANCED MY A**! Those conservative nuts!

And CNN is so bipartison...

Chant! Fox New sucks _____!

Fox News just happens to take all of CNN's leftovers i.e. correspondents.

faux paux?? HeHeHe

I think that both FOX News and CNN are fairly obviously partisan, the former for the Republicans and the latter for the Democrats (genuine conservativism and liberalism are dead in American politics, and in the engines that fuel it; it's all about party lines now). FOX is more "in your face," perhaps, but that doesn't make it any more biased. CNN just does it subtly.

That is true. However, I hate "butt"holes, AKA, in your face Fox News.

I find myself watching FOX News (or on Sirius) everytime I want news because I DO think FOX is "Fair and Balanced", balancing out the extreme liberalism prevalent CNN (not so much CNN International)/NBC/CBS. It really is a refreshing change.

It always amazes me how so many people at my gym (happened again today) despise FOX News without even watching, but whenever something comes up, they end up looking at my TV (FOX News) instead of theirs, and switch channels.

I have to agree with Fides et Radio, FOX is extreme, and so is CNN, but CNN does it more subtly (I mainly watch FOX News and CNN International, not the American CNN).

I watch Fox News somewhat and can offer some decent insights. Whenever they try to be "hip" it backfires horribly sometimes. I caught an episode of "Red Eye" and they tried to make jokes. It wasn't even close. This being said, FNC does have some decent assets. Neil Cavuto, Shepard Smith, and Bill O'Reilly (love him or hate him) are fantastic newscasters. There are some bad ones, Greta Van Sustern, Sean Hannity come to mind. They also tend to hire really hot chicks who get cue cards to make them sound way more intelligent than they actually are. Another aspect that I don't care for on FNC is when they take some no name schmuck and make him ask ambush questions that we know the person isn't going to answer. (Why did you not put this man in jail for...etc)

All this being said, Fox News might not be totally "fair and balanced" but they are hands down for partial than CNN and MSNBC with their constant "Bush sucks" propaganda.

I think MSNBC is the best as far as cable news goes and I would consider them completely bipartisan if they didn't have Keith Olbermann.
But the best new hands down is The News Hour with Jim Lehrer.

Fox & Friends...

I like E.D. way more than the new girl. The new one annoys me.

That said, I don't really watch much news.

Do you guys remember those obscene phone calls O'Reilly made to his ex-producer
Does anyone have a link to hear them?

I treat both channels, purely, as entertainment. You can't run 3-4 days worth of Anna Nicole Smith rehash and claim to be a legitimate news source.

I don't particularly dislike most of Bill O'Reilly's opinions, but as soon as the guy starts talking about history or citing statistics, you need to double check his facts (or watch Olbermann the very next day).

I stopped watching Faux news a long time ago...anyway I only watch MSNBC financial news.

Well if he doesn't "disappear" under King George's tyranny.

Fox news being conservative?? lmao

Shepard Smith is a liberal (it's so painfully obvious)
Bill O'Reilly is moderate (yes, he is)
Alan Colmes is a liberal

You are probably referring to the commentary shows.

LMAO.

Ignorance is a bliss isn't it?

The station was founded, and is run by, one of the most viscous Republicans there is, Robert Ailes. He ran campaigns for the Nixon and Reagan Administrations. Most of their pundits and talk show hosts are registered Republicans. Even the managing editor is a registered Republican. It has fiercely partisan outlets such as the Washington Times, and the Wall Street Journal editorial page. The ads on their webpage are ALL for conservative groups.

i don't usually watch the news, but i end up flipping to fox news once in a while, when i miss 24.

most entertaining thing ever.

it's the only news station that ends up having me cracking up in tears. so effin' amazing. ann coulter is up there too. i'm not even insanely liberal.

I'm an independent and I can't stand CNN. Fox News is a little better, though it leans on the conservative side with guys like Sean Hannity. The best show on FOX News is the Special Report with Brit Hume, by far. The other shows I don't care for. Hannity and Colmes is a joke. The show is severely dumbed down news. Bill O'Reilly is an intelligent person, but he yells too much. :) I recently heard him say that he is in favor of increasing taxes for the rich, as long as the money goes to support the poor and the troops. Hardly a conservative.
