it will never take more than 2 minutes to get from one room to another in FPF.

Alright cool. Thanks. Is there anything else one should know when entering fpf?

Don’t select Unit 2 for your dorm just because it is close to FPF, you will hate yourself in spring if you make that decision.

Yeah I’m hoping for Foothill. It’s on campus. Close to the english class. Plus it will force me to pass through campus and get involved.

Anyone know about any other great courses at FPF?

Yeah, I’d like to know too.

Right now the only class I have for sure is Math 1A… I’m signed up for English 2 but I hope I can test out of that with a 5 on the AP Literature exam. I need some good ideas for a few filler classes.

Anthro 1 with Richards is an awesome class, I recommend it highly. It is the best Anthro 1 in all of Berkeley.

Would you recommend Anthro over philosophy because my friends buddy took anthro and he said he was complaining a lot. How is anthro on the difficulty level (i know cal is hard regardless, but still I’m just wondering)?

Has anyone taken International and Area Studies 45? How is it? I was planning on taking it.

they didn’t have IAS 45 @ FPF this past fall.

I’d recommend geography 20 w/ Acker
Its a very interesting course and if any of you guys are business-intended, this is the course for you @ FPF.

Anthropology 1 with Richards is purely awesome.
I think your friend might be confused with Anthropology 3. Richards wasn’t a complainer.

Why do you suggest geography 20 if one is business related?

My friend was complaining about the large amounts of homework. But is that a different professor. Did you have Richard’s? WOuld you recomend going for anthro over philosophy with vanmuching

Its a course on globalization. It covers how the world economy has changed and a lot of other stuff that I found pertinent to the UGBA 10 course.

I have to fulfill my Arts & Lit and Physical Science breadth requirements in the FPF program. Which courses are the most interesting/educational/best to take?

The options are:
Arts & Lit - Art History 11, Classics 10A, English 31AC, Music 27
Physical Science - Astronomy 10, Earth and Planetary Science 80, Environmental Science 2

Any advice about which courses/which professors to take would be much appreciated!

Do people tend to take discussion right after lecture or put some space between the two? For example, is it more useful to have your one hour math IA discussion follow right after the 1.5 hour math lecture, or is that just too much math at one time?

I usually tried to get a block schedule without much breaks. That way, you get the rest of the day off.

What is a better overall class and why: Anthropology 1 with richards or philosophy 2 with vanmunching

Hey do we HAVE to take an R&C and a QR class for the fall?

anyone can answer?
